Autodesk Factory Design Utilities

This course covers the Autodesk Factory Design Utilities; a powerful set of tools bringing together the benefits of 2D layout design in AutoCAD and 3D layout design in Inventor. Each layout can be produced using a combination of both tools; benefitting from the speed of AutoCAD and Inventor’s capability with visualisation, design intelligence, Bill of Material management and clash detection. The training covers the workflows in both AutoCAD and Inventor and synchronising between the two products, as well as the publishing of the ‘assets’ that can be placed in layouts in both environments.

"Great training, made the course easy to digest." - Jordan S.

Factory Design Utilities caters for many different objectives, with different prerequisites for each. If you have previous Autodesk Inventor training or experience, 2 days training is ideal for the agenda below. If not, typically 3 days training is ideal. If you wish to model your own ‘asset library’ from scratch in Inventor, we recommend the Autodesk Inventor, Introduction to Solid Modelling training course before attending this course. If you will be using supplier (third party) models only, this is not required. (Please contact Excitech to discuss more bespoke requirements.)
This course does not cover AutoCAD fundamentals. It is assumed that most delegates will have at least a basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
