Excitech launches Design as a Service package

High spec workstations, software and support in one easy subscription

Excitech, the UK leader in technology and services for the construction and manufacturing sectors, today introduced a new technology and services package which combines high specification workstations, software, support, and financing into a per-seat-per-day subscription plan.

The package, known as the Excitech Design as a Service, leverages the subscription model now prevalent in the technology world. Instead of paying through capital expenditure for hardware and software, and incurring additional ongoing costs for managed support services, these assets can now be procured and managed through one simple subscription.

The Excitech Design as a Service addresses the specific workflow requirements of construction and manufacturing sector businesses and removes the need for different suppliers for hardware, software, support and financing. It also ensures that customers are continuously up to date with the latest technology and software versions.

It includes:
•    High specification workstations
•    Subscriptions to the Autodesk AEC Collection and Product Design and Manufacturing Collection, plus subscription to Microsoft Office software
•    Excitech Toolkits for Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD and access to Eaglepoint's Pinnacle Lite eLearning platform
•    Software Installation
•    IT and CAD support

In addition to simplifying the process of sourcing design workstations and software, the package aims to help external and internal IT teams with the day to day management and maintenance of these tools. All software comes pre-installed on the workstation, arriving ready to plug in and use.

“Our Design as a Service offering doesn’t just roll up the technology essentials for an organisation into one bundle”, says Alan Stone, Head of IT Solutions at Excitech. “It gathers together a wide spectrum of Excitech’s expertise from our consultants who come from industry backgrounds. They know what works, and their experience and insights enable Excitech to make informed recommendations. This is the essence of Excitech’s Design as a Service.”
