Since 2011, the UK government requires all public construction projects to be performed by BIM accredited organisations. Excitech are working in partnership with Lloyd's Register in the delivery of the BIM accreditation process which certifies organisations in the construction industry as 'BIM ready'.
The mandate has brought about an increased awareness and an appreciation of the benefits associated with its adoption. With many organisations already on their road to BIM Level 2 compliancy, certification provides a way of underlining that investment and provides the following key advantages:
- Evidence of an organisation’s capability of undertaking BIM Level 2 projects
- Enhancement of your organisation’s reputation
- Reduced time and cost associated with responding to tenders
- Win more business through marketing your capability

With a capacity of 80,000, Old Trafford is the second largest stadium in the United Kingdom after Wembley Stadium. Nicknamed the "Theatre of Dreams" by former United player and manager Bobby Charlton, Old Trafford has been United's home ground since 1910.
The stadium was heavily damaged by German air raids during World War 2, resulting in an eight year rebuild. Old Trafford has hosted FA Cup Semi-Finals, England Fixtures, matches at the 1966 World Cup, Euro 96, the 2003 Champions League Final and more. Future expansion is likely to involve the additional of a second tier to the South Stand, which would raise the capacity to around 88,000.
