Training Course Description
This course aims at providing the basis for customising ARCHIBUS. The course covers issues like database configuration, altering existing tables, indexing and importing/exporting data. |
Training Course Prerequisites
This course is designed for an experienced ARCHIBUS DBA user. The following prerequisites apply:- Previous attendance of an Archibus Basic database course. Previous attendance of at least 3 other ARCHIBUS module courses. Full understanding of AutoCAD software. Competent in the use of MS-Windows An understanding of Facilities Management. Sound experience of Database concepts and Sybase ASA methods. Database Development or programming experience essential. |

Upon completion of this course, the user will have an understanding of the following:

- Configure Databases.
- Create and alter new tables.
- Create new Primary and Foreign keys.
- Create and alter validation columns.
- Alter existing Primary and Foreign keys.
- Change columns attributes.

- Fully understand the Installation Process of ARCHIBUS

- Create new table Views.
- Manipulate table Views.
- Understand security issues.
- Enable security and create Groups.
- Understand and use the Sybase Interactive SQL.
- Check database integrity.
- Rebuild the database.
- Backing up data.
- Recover data.
- Importing/exporting data.
