With ArtrA, asset information is gathered at the workplace and is organised in a controlled database linked to the 3D model. This provides the work force with a central repository for all project data and documentation. Once the asset is ready for handover the ArtrA Database can be exported, along with the linked documentation, to the owner of the asset. Examples of data that can be captured and linked to the BIM model can include 2D drawings, photos, maintenance and inspection schedules and manufacturers specifications and O&M documentation.
ArtrA software provides a system to collate an entire project into a single manageable resource for a better managed completion and improved handover.
“ArtrA software is already used by some of our major customers especially in projects where Excitech has been providing consultancy services” said Excitech Managing Director, Adrian Atkinson “so the addition of ArtrA to Excitech’s product portfolio allows us to capture and manage construction, hand over and maintenance data, further enhancing the value of BIM and delivering significant added value to the construction companies and clients alike.”
“Having Excitech as a reseller and project partner will be invaluable to ArtrA” said ArtrA’s Managing Director, Peter Moyes, “as it allows ArtrA to reach a wider audience and as part of a broader range of solutions”.
Excitech will commence selling ArtrA software immediately with a particular emphasis on the latest release which supports Autodesk Navisworks 2012 and provides a new front end to the Administrator and Librarian programs. New features include data import from Excel spreadsheets, new colour code function to help display search requests, improved document search functions, and an improved database configuration to allow for the addition of a new ‘snagging’ feature.
