The firewall market is distinctly different for Small to Medium Sized Businesses (SMBs) and Larger businesses. Large businesses have extensive IT teams and often choose to implement separate solutions for firewall, web filtering, email filtering, and remote access. Whilst this approach is more costly and complicated it allows them to select the performance and features they require in each security area to the businesses requirements.

SMBs on the other hand have limited or even no in-house IT teams and want solutions which are less expensive, easier to implement and easier to manage. The two main SonicWALL UTM product sets are the TZ series for small businesses and NSA series for Medium to large businesses.

SonicWALL TZ Firewall

The SonicWALL TZ series of firewalls are SonicWALL's entry level models for small businesses, branch offices and home users. Although small and modestly priced they pack a lot of performance and features. The TZ100 and TZ200 are desktop models, the TZ210 is desktop/rack mountable. All three are available in wireless variants.

For IPSec VPN, SonicWALL Global VPN Client enables the client system to download the VPN client for a more traditional client-based VPN experience.
