Property Acquisition and Tag Formats
You can use Property acquisition to maintain consistent tagging. Tag formats that are based on acquired properties update automatically throughout a project when source values are changed. ln a KKS environment, for example, if a line acquires its Unit value from a project-level property, you can use that acquiring property in the line's tag format. lf the Unit value at the project level is changed, all tags with that property as a subpart are changed accordingly. |

Data Manager Configurat¡on
Creating a New View
When you click Data Manager Configuration in the Project Setup tree, a form appears in the right pane that lets you enter a name for your view and select its scope. You can then click New Level to select the Level 1 property to be displayed in the Data Manager tree. You repeat this process for the desired number of levels. For example, select Manufacturer, Model Number, and Supplier from the Engineering ltems level.

P&lD Drawing Validation
You can check P&lD drawings for common errors such as non-terminating lines and flow direction conflicts. To specify what errors are checked in a drawing, in the Project Manager, right-click the project. Click Validation Settings. The Drawing Validation Settings dialog box is displayed.
You can validate individual drawings or all the drawings in a proiect. To validate a drawing, in the Project Manager, right-click the drawing. Click Validate.

Validation Summary
The Validation Summary window displays a list of all errors and a brief summary of errors. To run the validation again and refresh the error list, click the Refresh button on the Validation Summary window. |
